Knife care

Do I need any sharpening experience?

No. The magnetic block holds the knife at a steady angle, so you only need to roll the sharpener along the edge. Read the included instructions before first use.

Which knives does it work with?

It is designed for straight-edged kitchen knives such as chef's, santoku and utility knives. It is not recommended for serrated knives, scissors or very small paring knives.

15° or 20° — which should I use?

Use 15° for thinner Japanese-style knives and 20° for most Western and German-style knives. If you're unsure, 20° is the safe all-rounder.

How long does sharpening take?

A regular touch-up takes a few minutes per knife. A very dull or damaged edge needs more passes on the diamond side.

How do I clean it?

Wipe the blade and the discs with a damp cloth after use and let them dry. Do not put the sharpener in the dishwasher.

Bread keeping

What kind of bread does the bread bag fit?

The bag measures about 17 × 12.6 in — room for a boule, a batard, a sandwich loaf or a baguette cut in half.

Why beeswax instead of plastic?

Plastic traps moisture, which softens the crust. The beeswax liner lets the loaf breathe while protecting it from drafts and spills, so crusty bread stays closer to the way you bought it.

How do I clean the bread bag?

Shake out the crumbs and wipe the liner with a cool, damp cloth, then let it air-dry. Use cool water only — hot water, the dishwasher, the dryer and the microwave will melt the beeswax.

Can I store other food in it?

It's made for bread, rolls and pastries. Please don't use it for raw meat or fish.

Shipping to the US is free. Orders usually leave our fulfillment partner within 1-3 business days. Items shipped from a US warehouse generally arrive faster than items shipped from overseas; most orders arrive within about 5-14 days after shipping, so please allow up to three weeks in total.
